Guitar Lessons

After a long layoff from teaching guitar, I am again opening up my schedule to potential students. While I may be known as a Rockabilly/Country guy, I am also a fan and fluent in many other styles of guitar. From early pre war acoustic/country blues to classic rock, to 70's/80's Brit pop, to most anything in between, I can help further your playing and knowledge of music.

I have over 30 years of playing and performing experience as a touring professional, but I also understand that just because you can play, it does not mean you can teach. So along with that experience, I also have 5 years of teaching guitar (upwards of 40 students a week) in a retail environment. I have years of experience working as a child care provider/mentor ranging from ages 5 to 17 for the Boys & Girls Club, YMCA, and City Parks & Rec. Perhaps most importantly, I've worked hard to become a true teacher and NOT just a player trying to show others what I do.

I can teach anyone from an absolute beginner to a seasoned professional. My methods of teaching focus on merging the wants of the student with the needs they may or may not realize they have. Fundamentals in technique and music theory I believe are necessities for anyone wanting to realize their potential on the instrument, but so is having FUN and expressing yourself through your instrument.

If a student has a properly set up instrument, realistic goals, and is willing to put in the time to practice with intent, I can help you. Your gear does NOT need to be expensive, your goals do not need to be grand, and you do not need to practice hours and hours a day (but you will need to practice regularly ;)

**Important: I am currently based in Westminster, CO**

For private 1on1 lessons I have limited time available at my home during the week. I am also willing to travel to you if need be. My radius for travel is on  a case by case basis but may encompass as much as Boulder to Denver.

Rates are also case by case.

I am available to teach online via Skype or Face Time.

I have the capability to record (audio/video) private lessons and provide them to students.

I have the capability to create personalized video lessons (pre recorded/not live) specific to a students goals so that scheduling 1on1 time is no longer a road block.

Please email me at: if you're interested. Many Thanks!
